Golfscape GPS Rangefinder App Reviews

Great idea, but you cant see much when its sunny outside. Too much glare. Not worth it!

I liked the idea, but it just was not practical. In the sun its very difficult to make out course image, so your just left with a bunch of numbers on the screen. I think overlaying distances on a 2D view such as in GolfShots would be much better. Also being able to integrate this with GolfShots for keeping score (for those that have bought it) would help rather that having to switch between apps for score and distances.

Tried to use this today and its hard to see in the sun and on some holes was a blank screen with numbers on it and doesnt keep score and cant add other players. Also you feel like a dumby holding this up like a camera to point it at the hole and could never get a strong compass reading. Stick with the Golfshot gps its awesome.

The idea is great but much work needs to be done. First, you cant see the image into the sun at all. Second, the compass error appears and cant seen to get a signal despite being in clear sky view. Third, as mentioned by a pervious user, it a pain having to go between to two programs Golfshot and Golfscape. Ideally they should be inter-graded into one. Golfshot works perfectly!!

It doesnt work! Can someone please tell me who I can contact to get a refund.

I agree with the comments from the other reviewers. I thought this app would be as good as the other golfshot app. Unfortunately it does not seem to be able to get a compass reading very often and the glare from the sun makes it often unusable when one finally does get a compass reading. It would be nice if the app was a button at the bottom of the original app like the aerial and GPS toggle button. Until improvements are made I would NOT recommend this app.

Good idea that doesnt work reliably. Definitely not worth $20

The only reason its 50% off is its crap. Never lines up right. Gps doesnt work right. Make the game slower. Thats not what we want. Golfplan isnt working all that great either. Save your money. And they dont reply to their problems.

The glare from the sun makes this app almost completely useless. Dont bother buying it.

This app is garbage! Just like all reviewers said. The glare can be an issue on course but not apps fault. What is there fault is the fact that the gps never ever lines up. Ive tried about 5 diff courses. Some in Canada and 2 in states. Dont even waste $10 for its sale price. I did and wish I didnt!

I bought golf shot and I have been a satisfied customer. Then I got an advertisement on golf shot showing this app and given the reputation of golf shot, I thought this application is going to be good. This is nothing but a scam. No courses in Ontario or Canada, why wouldnt you mention that in your app instead of saying Canada and US. Seriously there credibility is under question. Would love to have a refund

It cannot synchronize the courses!

I bought this app a couple of months ago, and I have not been able use it because I cant synchronize the courses on the app. How can I get my money back because this app is not functional

I was truly excited about this app before I loaded it onto my iPhone 4. Once I loaded the app, it made the Golfshot GPS apps distance inaccurate and therefore useless. Please fix this issue as soon as possible because as of right now it is absolutely frustrating that I cannot use my Golfshot GPS app.

I have found the software totally useless. Every time I have tried it, the message I get is the GPS is poor and the compass is poor. It has been of not value to me ... certainly not worth $10. Paul OConnor

Great idea - really poor execution. 1st problem - using the app - the top half of my iPhone screen is 3x darker than the bottom half. Cant locate the features that you are trying measure - its that dark. No the camera either - screen is perfect in camera app. 2nd - absolutely NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Website has little info, the support line does not get answered, and the Facebook page is out of date. 3rd - a huge battery hog. Used up 75% of battery life in a 4 hour round - though that might have partially been due to the problem with the top half of the screen being so dark. Would love to get my money back. Cant believe this won an Apple Design Award. It is simply not ready.

Have used Golfshot quite awhile and love it. Bought Golfscape to augment it. Strange thing has happened; it sometimes freezes the GPS on my Golfshot. Not on all the holes on a course, just an occasional hole. Had 957 yards on one hole on Golfshot, clicked the Golfscape icon and it suddenly went into satellite access mode and then gave the correct yardage in Golfscape. Returned to Golfshot and then it too had the correct yardage. This happens several times per round where I have to leave Golfshot and open Golfscape in order to get the yardage to become active and accurate. Contacted the programmers and they dont have a solution yet. They tweaked my home course data but that was to no avail. It is a bug and hasnt stopped bugging me. I have deleted Golfscape for the time being and Golfshot works like it always has. A great program in its own right but dont be surprised if Golfscape turns it into a problem.

Worst app ever! Cant see anything on the screen and the yardages dont show up! Dont waste $10 like I did!
